About Ocumeda
Ocumeda is a tele-ophthalmology platform that simplifies preventive eye care by collaborating with opticians and experienced ophthalmologists in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. They offer a fast, convenient, and cost-effective eye check-up using modern technology to make eye care accessible to everyone.
The company was founded by ophthalmologists Prof. Dr. Marcel Menke and Dr. Christian Kirr, along with entrepreneurs Dr. Christoph Haarburger and Dr. Benedikt Wiechers.
Ocumeda has expanded through partnerships with major companies like Fielmann and Bayer and is now operating over 450 locations across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with more than 100,000 conducted eye check-ups.
