Job description

Recare is at Series B with €37 million and is scaling. We are at a point where not only the product matters but the organization behind it: how we build teams, who we hire, and by which standards. Human and AI together form our operating model. This fundamentally changes recruiting.
As Head of Talent Acquisition you will take strategic and operational responsibility for the entire recruiting function at Recare. You will report to the Chief of Staff and lead a lean, high-impact team of two.
Your mission: build a recruiting organization that enables our growth rather than just following it. You are both strategist and doer — you will engage in day-to-day operations, support sourcing, interviews and process management, lead from the front and get hands-on when needed.
You hire for potential, not just immediate need. Your benchmark: can this person solve today’s problems and help shape tomorrow’s challenges that are not yet fully known?

Key responsibilities

You will design a scalable recruiting architecture for a company building Human + AI workplaces; define and own clear processes, roles and responsibilities; establish robust workforce planning; manage hiring using meaningful KPIs; and define what “the right person” means for Recare.
You will integrate AI fluency into role profiles and assessment methods, create interview structures that evaluate technical skill, cultural fit and the ability to work productively with new tools, and build pipelines proactively before demand arises.
You will leverage AI-enabled tools for sourcing, screening, market analysis and candidate intelligence; implement automations to remove repetitive work; and maintain a clear vision for a technology-augmented recruiting team.
You will directly lead two mid-level Talent Acquisition Managers, set clear goals and accountability, coach and develop the team, and be prepared to work operationally alongside them.
You will partner closely with Head of People & Culture on the people strategy and manage relationships with external agencies and partners.

Who we are looking for

We are not looking for CV-forward recruiters, process administrators, or technology skeptics. We seek someone who understands that recruiting is undergoing a structural change and is ready to shape this transformation at Recare.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience building or scaling recruiting functions in fast-growing tech companies.
  • Proven ownership for hiring volume, hire quality and team leadership.
  • Genuine AI fluency: you use AI tools confidently day-to-day and can explain how AI changes recruiting and where its limits are.
  • A clear perspective on talent acquisition for Human + AI workplaces, including evolved competency profiles, assessment methods and candidate experience.
  • Confidence working with senior leadership and the ability to challenge and improve hiring managers.
  • A data-driven approach to recruiting.
  • Fluent German (C2) and English.
Success will be measured by improved hiring quality (especially AI-readiness), trust from board and management, reduced time-to-hire without quality loss, structured hiring by leaders, recruiting being seen as a strategic partner, operational adoption of automations and tools, and attracting talent that thrives in a Human + AI workplace.
