Your tasks
As Senior CRM & Retention Manager you will take responsibility for building and further developing our CRM setup. Our goal is to activate, retain and win back users across the entire customer lifecycle — data-driven, personalized and cross-channel.
Currently our focus is mainly on e-mail retention. Together with the team you will build additional channels such as push, in-app or WhatsApp and develop scalable, automated customer journeys.
The role is hands-on, offers wide creative scope and involves close collaboration with Data & Product teams.
- Develop and implement the CRM and retention strategy across all customer lifecycle phases.
- Design, build and continuously optimise automated campaigns and flows (onboarding, activation, re‑engagement, etc.).
- Define and implement segmentation, trigger and personalization logic based on user behaviour and data analysis.
- Further develop our e-mail CRM setup and build new CRM channels from scratch (e.g., WhatsApp, Push, In‑App).
- Create CRM content in German (e-mail, push, in‑app, etc.), including tone of voice and storytelling.
- Build and structure a scalable CRM setup (data model, events, segments, lifecycle logic) in close cooperation with Data & Engineering.
- Work closely with Data, Product and Marketing to ensure CRM activities are embedded in product, communication and the customer journey.
- Run A/B tests, perform performance analyses and continuously optimise key retention KPIs (e.g., retention rate, re-activation rate, CLV).
Support in selecting and managing a CRM tool and marketing automation systems (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Klaviyo, etc.).
Your profile
Several years of experience building and scaling data-driven CRM and retention programmes — from strategy to operational execution.
Strong experience with marketing automation tools and customer-journey design.
Structured, independent working style and enjoyment of driving initiatives forward autonomously.
Knowledge of A/B testing, segmentation and personalization.
Creativity in developing engagement and reactivation campaigns.
Very strong German (C2) and English skills, as creating CRM content is part of the role.
