Role summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to lead failure analysis, testing, and implementation of design improvements for electronic systems and components during the product maintenance phase. This senior technical role is responsible for ensuring electronics design excellence and long-term product quality. You will collaborate closely with quality, member experience, data analytics, and production testing teams.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in failure analysis, electronics testing methods, circuit design, and embedded systems and will provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshooting of low-power electronics and failure analysis at system and component level
- Ensuring system and component quality over product lifetime
- Leading design efforts during maintenance phase for analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Evaluating and selecting alternative components (2nd sources) in cooperation with sourcing, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness
- Reviewing and improving production testing coverage for electronics
- Reviewing schematics and PCB layout for potential system performance optimizations
- Collaborating with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing engineers
- Researching and implementing new technologies and methods to improve product performance and quality
- Reviewing and approving design documentation, test procedures, and engineering reports
- Managing relationships with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and technology providers to ensure component quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in electronics design and verification, with 3–5 years in a senior engineering role including project leadership
- Deep expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems and products, including analog and digital circuit design, Bluetooth, wireless power transfer, high-speed interfaces, power management, and embedded systems
- Strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Thorough understanding of product maintenance activities from start of mass production to end of life
- Experience with schematic and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium) and signal/power integrity analysis
- Hands-on prototyping and validation experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
- Proven ability to lead and deliver complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with internal teams and external partners
