Role overview
This is a remote US role. Oura has offices in San Francisco and San Diego for those who prefer hybrid or office settings. You will be part of the Commerce Mission — a revenue-generating organization responsible for increasing Oura’s brand recognition and driving product sales across D2C, B2B, and retail partnerships.
What you’ll do
Be part of a team focused on driving product sales through online e-commerce and offline partnerships. Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. Design and implement testable, scalable, and well-documented code while ensuring platform security and compliance. Support customer care to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting user experience.
- Work on D2C, B2B, and strategic retail partnerships to increase revenue.
- Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions using Typescript, DynamoDB, Redis, and AWS technologies.
- Design and implement testable, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Ensure the platform adheres to security and compliance regulations.
- Support customer care to troubleshoot and resolve user-impacting issues.
Qualifications
We would love to have you on our team if you have:
- 3 - 5 years of backend development experience.
- Strong Typescript skills.
- Solid knowledge of API best practices and experience with serverless patterns (AWS Lambdas) and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, performant web services on AWS.
- Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline configuration, monitoring and observability for production code, and crafting quality alerts.
- A pragmatic, entrepreneurial attitude and delivery-focused mindset, able to balance short-term goals and long-term technical debt.
Nice to haves
- Experience with online payments, PSPs, digital wallets, etc.
- Experience building, migrating, or maintaining performant services at scale with multiple internal and external consumers.
- Experience building commercial solutions for B2B or D2C commerce flows.

Oura uses a market-based approach to pay and US locations are categorized into tiers. Salary ranges (US): Region 1 $142,000 - $178,000; Region 2 $130,000 - $163,000; Region 3 $120,000 - $150,000. A recruiter can determine your tier based on your US location.
