Job Overview
As a Deal Desk Lead, you'll play a crucial role in supporting one of our business line’s sales processes, helping accelerate customer acquisition and retention. You will work closely with our Sales, Revenue Operations, Billing, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure efficient opportunity management, contract review, and custom pricing execution. This position is vital for driving growth and ensuring deals are structured effectively and accurately.
Reporting to the Head of Deal Desk in our Global Business Solutions group, you will contribute directly to our expansion and retention efforts by ensuring orders are booked and closed productively and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and lead the structuring of deals, including complex, custom commercial terms.
- Support and coordinate the creation of compelling responses to Requests for Proposal.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to the deal lifecycle, ensuring efficiency from quote to close.
- Act as a key liaison, fostering strong partnerships with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Leverage critical systems like Salesforce and CPQ tools (e.g., Zuora, DealHub) to manage deals and data.
- Track key metrics and analyze deal trends to provide insights that inform strategic business decisions.
- Maintain essential sales resources like deal playbooks and provide guidance to the sales team on pricing and processes.
- Define future state of Deal Desk tech in the Intuit ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of demonstrated ability in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Pricing Strategy, or similar role within a B2B software/SaaS company, with a focus on deal structuring and support.
- Proven experience supporting or managing RFP (Request for Proposal) processes, ensuring timely and compelling submissions.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and CPQ systems (Zuora and/or DealHub CPQ experience is highly desirable), along with experience utilizing other relevant tools to manage deal workflows and data.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze deal data, identify discounting trends, and contribute to reporting that informs revenue generation opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex pricing models, commercial terms, and deal strategies to diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve deal-related roadblocks, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and effectively influence stakeholders across Sales, Revenue Operations, Billing, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure smooth deal execution and compliance.
- Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing contracts, commercial terms, and all deal-related documentation.
- Strong process orientation with experience in or understanding of optimizing deal processes for efficiency and compliance.
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
