Lumia Health
About Lumia Health
Lumia Health builds ultra-miniature, in-ear wearables that measure blood flow to the head to help people understand and manage symptoms like dizziness, brain fog, fatigue, and fainting. Founded in 2020 by Daniel Lee and Paul Jin after a personal health crisis, the company translates clinical research into a consumer-facing program that combines a wearable earpiece with a companion iPhone app and membership service.
What we build
We develop the Lumia wearable and the Lumia Edge Access Program. The wearable provides frequent Flow Index readings and rapid "Live Mode" sampling during episodes, while the program includes mobile app access, cloud processing, continuous feature updates, hardware upgrade policies, and member support. The product is offered as a general wellness tool (not an FDA-cleared diagnostic) to help users track how posture, food, environment, and interventions affect blood flow.
Research, partnerships & vision
Lumia collaborates with world-class institutions and advisors (including Johns Hopkins, Duke, Harvard Medical School and multiple clinical partners) to validate methods and improve clinical utility. The company is pursuing regulatory pathways and scientific studies with the long-term goal of enabling diagnostic use and broadening access through insurance reimbursement and expanded availability.
