About the Syntax Institut

The Syntax Institut is a fast-growing EdTech company from Berlin, founded by experienced entrepreneurs. Our mission is to become Europe’s leading bootcamp for web and mobile development (app development), as well as AI and cloud computing, training the next generation of developers and helping them successfully enter the job market.

Tasks

Your role at Syntax
You have a knack for organization and keep oversight even when several packages arrive at once? Then we are looking for you! As part of our office team you will ensure that all shipping and hardware processes in our Berlin office run smoothly — from new onboarding boxes for employees to returns to our partners. The position is available immediately and is for 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
  • Receiving and sending deliveries to and from the Berlin office
  • Creating shipping labels for all shipping processes
  • Preparing and shipping hardware & onboarding boxes for new team members
  • Coordinating and tracking hardware returns: track incoming devices, send reminders for outstanding returns, and organize return shipments to our service providers and vendors
  • Supporting hardware exchange processes for defective devices

Qualifications

What you bring
  • Conscientiousness: you work reliably and responsibly — people can depend on you for on-time shipments and careful tracking
  • Organizational talent: you enjoy working independently and keep an overview, especially when handling multiple tasks at the same time
  • Communication: you speak and write excellent German and ideally also have good spoken and written English
  • Flexibility: you are available at short notice and can work either 4 days/week x 5 hours or 5 days/week x 4 hours. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday should always be covered.

Benefits

What we offer
  • A business with purpose: work on topics that are economically, socially and politically highly relevant (digitalization, competitiveness, labor market policy, equality, technology, etc.)
  • Attractive package: in addition to a market-based salary you benefit from a discounted sports offer via our partner Urban Sports Club and receive high-quality company devices (MacBook, etc.)
  • Great team: regular team events, remote events (quiz & game nights) and frequent meetups in the Berlin office for lunch, creative evenings or sports activities
