About Syntax Institut

Syntax Institut is a fast-growing EdTech company from Berlin founded by experienced entrepreneurs. Our mission is to train people in practical, in-demand tech professions and to successfully integrate them into the job market. We offer practical continuing education in software development, IT administration, cloud & IT security, artificial intelligence, and project management, and run nationwide retraining programs for IT specialist roles. We teach current technologies, modern working methods, and the skills companies need today.

Responsibilities

Your role
You will build a nationwide network of corporate partners for our retraining internships from scratch — independently, in a structured way, and with a real focus on closing partnerships. You will research which companies in a target region are suitable internship partners for our future IT professionals, evaluate them by industry and suitability, and prioritize your outreach. You will proactively contact decision-makers, clearly explain our retraining model, and bring conversations to a successful close. What you build will remain: a strong partner pipeline by location, maintained in the CRM and directly used for approving new locations.
Main tasks
  • Marktrecherche & Qualifizierung: Research location-specific companies that could be internship partners and evaluate them by industry, size and suitability (e.g. presence of an instructor certificate/AEVO).
  • Initial contact & outreach: Prioritize outreach independently based on company qualification. Proactively contact contacts by phone (cold calling) and communicate in parallel by email or LinkedIn in a clear, goal-oriented, professional manner.
  • Briefing: Explain our retraining model clearly — who our participants are, how an internship works, and why a partnership is mutually beneficial.
  • Partnership closing: Bring conversations to a close and win companies as internship partners. Depending on IHK requirements this can be adding them to our partner network or obtaining a short digital letter of intent.
  • Data maintenance & reporting: Maintain contacts and outcomes in the CRM, develop a strong partner pipeline by location, and provide regular feedback on what works and what doesn’t.

Qualifications

You should bring
  • Experience: Ideally initial work experience in sales, promotion, call center, business development or a similar role. A basic affinity for the tech sector and IT job profiles is advantageous. First experiences in a startup or dynamic environment are a plus.
  • Communication & persistence: Proactively approach new contacts and win them over with the right arguments for our retraining model. Remain friendly and goal-oriented and keep at it even with some resistance. You speak and write excellent German (C2).
  • Ownership & execution: Take responsibility for your topics and drive them forward independently. Stay focused on goals in a dynamic environment.
  • Structured working: Goal-oriented, structured and detail-oriented work style with good self-organization.
  • Availability: You must be an enrolled student and reliably support us for up to 20 hours per week.
