Harwell Science and Innovation Campus is the UK's leading science and innovation campus, hosting a unique community of over 7,000 scientists, engineers, and innovators working together to solve critical global challenges. Founded in 1946 originally to address energy crises and advance nuclear technology, Harwell has evolved into a federation of leading science and technology organizations and facilities. It is a collaborative environment where government, academia, and industry come together to accelerate progress in scientific research, technology development, and commercialization.

Harwell is home to over 250 organizations, including publicly funded national laboratories like the National Quantum Computing Centre and the Central Laser Facility; anchor organizations such as the European Space Agency; innovative private sector companies like Oxford Nanopore and Astroscale; and teams from 30 UK universities.
