The Finance, Controlling, and Purchasing department consolidates all financial, balance sheet, and accounting tasks within gematik – from procuring services, awarding large-scale projects, to invoicing, creating the annual corporate planning, and reporting to our management and stakeholders.
Your area: Controlling
The Controlling team supports budget managers at gematik as business partners and creates transparency and control. We prepare meaningful reports, continuously develop them, and determine prices for our products and services. We inform not only the management but also maintain constant communication with our stakeholders about current developments, profitability analyses, and other economic topics.
Your Responsibilities
- You lead the controlling team both technically and disciplinarily. You ensure balanced and adequate development of your colleagues and the team as a whole, jointly agree on department goals, and implement them timely within the team. Based on your experience and company-specific peculiarities, you efficiently implement best practices.
- You ensure effective and efficient commercial processes and structures. You understand the company's and its stakeholders' requirements, work out appropriate and tailored concepts with the team, and implement them.
- You independently draft forecasts, ad-hoc analyses, and target/actual comparisons, identify optimization potentials for profitability, derive measures from these, and consistently pursue their implementation.
- You are responsible for timely, consistent, and target-group-appropriate reporting, planning, and forecasting for the departments and supporting areas. In addition, you monitor budgets and check investment and financing decisions.
- You optimize process flows, develop, and continuously implement existing control instruments while observing compliance with corporate guidelines.
- You are a competent negotiation and sparring partner on strategic topics for the controlling team, management, departments, and supporting areas. You also support projects and solving operational issues.
Your Profile
- Degree: You have a degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on controlling.
- Experience: You bring several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in the (IT) service industry or healthcare sector, project experience, and professional and/or disciplinary leadership experience.
- Tool & Method Knowledge: You have knowledge in the use and further development of controlling tools as well as building key figure systems and KPIs. Also proficient user knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
- Working Style: You think analytically, proactively, and entrepreneurially. You act responsibly, precisely, solution-oriented, and self-initiated. Prioritizing topics is an integral part of your working style.
- Leadership Style: You lead cooperatively and convince with your proactive and constructive will to shape. You act assertively and diplomatically skillful at the same time to reconcile different interests. The further development of your team has high priority for you.
- Personality: You learn quickly and have a pronounced affinity as well as a practiced handling of numbers, databases, and facts. You are interested in the facts behind the numbers and want to shape them. With your hands-on mentality, you can motivate yourself and your team. Your friendly, determined presence, high sense of responsibility, excellent, transparent, and appreciative communication characterizes you. You are clear and binding.
- Language: You have very good German and English skills in spoken and written form.
