The Finance, Controlling, and Purchasing department consolidates all financial, accounting and bookkeeping tasks within gematik – from procurement of services, to awarding large-scale projects, to invoicing, the creation of the annual corporate planning and reporting to management and shareholders.
Your area of work: Controlling
The Controlling team supports budget managers at gematik as business partners and provides transparency and control capabilities. We create meaningful reports, continuously develop them, and determine prices for our products and services. We not only inform management but are also in constant communication with our shareholders about current developments, profitability analyses, and other business matters.
Your Responsibilities
- You lead the controlling team both professionally and disciplinarily. You ensure balanced and adequate development of your colleagues and the team as a whole, agree on department goals together and implement them on time. Based on your experience and taking into account company specifics, you efficiently apply best practices.
- You ensure effective and efficient commercial processes and structures. You understand the requirements of the company and its stakeholders, develop appropriate and tailored concepts with the team and implement them.
- You independently design forecasts, ad-hoc analyses, and target/actual comparisons, identify potential optimization areas in profitability, derive measures and sustainably monitor their implementation.
- You are responsible for timely, continuous, and audience-appropriate reporting, planning, and forecasting for the departments and supporting areas. In addition, you monitor budgets and review investment and financing decisions.
- You optimize process workflows, develop and implement existing control instruments continuously while observing compliance with company regulations.
- You are a competent negotiation and sparring partner regarding strategic topics for the controlling team, management, departments, and supporting areas. You also support projects and solve operational problems.
Your Profile
- Degree: You hold a degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on controlling.
- Experience: You bring several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in the (IT) service industry or healthcare, project experience and professional and/or disciplinary leadership experience.
- Tool and method knowledge: You have knowledge in application and development of controlling tools as well as building key performance indicator systems and KPIs. You have advanced user knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
- Working style: You think analytically, proactively, and entrepreneurially. You also act responsibly, precisely, solution-oriented and on your own initiative. Prioritizing topics is an integral part of your working style.
- Leadership style: You lead cooperatively and convince with your proactive and constructive willingness to shape. You act assertively and diplomatically to harmonize different interests. The development of your team is a high priority for you.
- Personality: You learn quickly, have a strong affinity for and practiced handling of numbers, databases, and facts. You are interested in the facts behind the numbers and want to shape them. Your hands-on mentality motivates you and your team. You have a friendly, confident presence, a high sense of responsibility, and excellent, transparent, and appreciative communication. You are clear and binding.
- Language: You have very good German and English language skills, both spoken and written.
