About the role
We want to make a difference – are you in? We ensure that over 80 million people in Germany benefit from digital healthcare. You may already know some of our products, like the ePrescription or the electronic patient record (ePA). Help us shape the healthcare system of tomorrow.
Your field of work: Operations
The Operations area ensures the stable, available, and secure operation of the telematics infrastructure (TI) for the German healthcare system. Tasks include defining conditions and requirements for technical components, monitoring services, and coordinating industry partners in case of disruptions. Insights flow into the further development of digital products.
Your responsibilities
- As an IT architect, you work from the beginning in product teams ensuring early integration of operational requirements in development. The goal is to create the necessary framework conditions to ensure stable operation in the productive environment.
- You further develop the architectural roadmap of the telematics platform by translating operational requirements along the operating strategy into IT architecture. By integrating the principles of operation-by-design in the product development phases, you steadily increase the maturity of our TI products until rollout. Concept and specification development is a key task.
- You work in an interdisciplinary team with colleagues from various departments, representing operational aspects.
- You define the future architecture and simplify existing processes, always with a focus on the goals and strategy of the department and product teams.
- You optimize services in accordance with the operational guidelines and standards of the TI.

- Tools & methods knowledge: You can demonstrate strong technical understanding of IT architectures, software, infrastructure, integration, and security. Ideally, you have knowledge of ITIL v3 processes.
- Working style: You enjoy quickly familiarizing yourself with complex issues and can communicate technical solutions appropriately for the target audience. Your extensive methodological knowledge helps you structure complexity into modular components.
- Personality: You enjoy acting independently and proactively in a matrix organization. Your teamwork skills complete your profile.
- Language: You have very good German and English skills in spoken and written form.
