The Finance, Controlling and Purchasing department consolidates all financial, accounting and bookkeeping tasks within gematik – from procurement of services, allocation of large-scale projects to invoicing, annual corporate planning and reporting to management and shareholders.
Your area of work: Controlling
The Controlling team supports the budget managers in gematik as business partners and creates both transparency and controllability. We develop meaningful reports, continuously improve them, and determine prices for our products and services. We not only inform management but also maintain constant communication with shareholders on current developments, profitability analyses, and other business topics.
Your Tasks
- You lead the controlling team both professionally and disciplinarily. You ensure balanced and adequate development of your colleagues and the team as a whole, jointly set department goals, and implement them on time. Based on your experience and considering company-specific characteristics, you efficiently implement best practices.
- You ensure effective and efficient commercial processes and structures. You understand the company's and stakeholders' requirements, develop appropriate and tailored concepts with the team, and implement them.
- You independently design forecasts, ad-hoc analyses, and target/actual comparisons, identify optimization potentials for profitability, derive measures, and sustainably monitor their implementation.
- You are responsible for timely, continuous, and target-group appropriate reporting, planning, and forecasting for the specialist and support areas. Moreover, you monitor budgets and review investment and financing decisions.
- You optimize process flows, develop and implement existing control instruments continuously, considering compliance with company specifications.
- You are a competent negotiation and sparring partner on strategic topics for the controlling team, management, specialist departments, and support areas. You also support projects and the resolution of operational issues.
Your Profile
- Degree: You have a degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on controlling.
- Experience: You bring several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in the (IT) service industry or healthcare, project experience, and technical and/or disciplinary leadership experience.
- Tool & Method Knowledge: You have experience in using and developing controlling tools and building key performance indicator systems and KPIs. You are also proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
- Working Style: You think analytically, proactively, and entrepreneurially. You act responsibly, precisely, solution-oriented, and on your initiative. Prioritizing topics is an integral part of your working style.
- Leadership Style: You lead cooperatively and impress with your proactive and constructive willingness to shape. You act assertively and diplomatically skilled to reconcile different interests. Developing your team is a high priority for you.
- Personality: You learn quickly, have a strong affinity for and practiced handling of numbers, databases, and facts. You are interested in the issues behind the numbers and want to shape them. With your hands-on mentality, you can motivate yourself and your team. You are characterized by a friendly, determined demeanor, high responsibility, and excellent, transparent, and appreciative communication. You are clear and binding.
- Language: You have very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
