About the Role

Were looking for a Technical Recruiter to identify, engage, and close top-tier talent as Counsel Health scales its recruiting engine. You will drive full-cycle hiring across technical EPD roles (Engineering, Product, Design) and AI Research and contribute to the technical hiring strategy to attract and evaluate talent in a competitive landscape.
Youll blend high-velocity execution with strategic thinking: support the design of scalable processes, build robust pipelines, and craft narratives that attract the best talent from healthcare, AI, and high-growth startups.
This is a remote role with a strong preference for candidates based near our hubs in NYC or Boston.

What you\u2019ll do

  • Full-Cycle Execution: Lead recruiting across technical EPD roles and AI Research, delivering an exceptional candidate experience from outreach to close.
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with engineering leadership and hiring managers to define technical requirements, craft compelling role descriptions, and refine Counsels talent bar.
  • Process Optimization: Help build recruiting processes, metrics, and Ashby ATS workflows to improve speed, quality, and data integrity.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute creative sourcing campaigns and employer branding initiatives to attract top talent from the AI and HealthTech ecosystems.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide market insights on technical compensation and talent trends to stakeholders.
  • DEI Advocacy: Embed inclusive hiring practices and champion diversity, equity, and representation.

What you\u2019ll bring

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a dedicated focus on technical roles (Software Engineering, Data, Product).
  • Proven track record hiring AI Researchers and Machine Learning engineers in high-growth or AI-native environments.
  • Deep Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of engineering skillsets (Backend, Full-stack, ML/AI, Data Engineering, DevOps).
  • Process Orientation: Experience working within and improving scalable recruiting processes and metrics.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Proficiency with modern ATS systems (Ashby experience is a plus), focused on data integrity and reporting.
  • Sourcing Expertise: Success building proactive outbound sourcing strategies for niche, senior, or specialized technical roles.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experienced partner to hiring managers, providing transparency and alignment throughout the hiring lifecycle.

Bonus points for

  • Experience in HealthTech, Digital Health, or AI-driven startups.
  • Comfort with the building phase of a company and with ambiguity.
  • Strong analytics orientation and ability to use data to inform hiring leaders.
  • AI-tooling & experimentation experience; a comfort with leveraging AI for recruiting efficiency.
  • Being based in NYC or Boston.

Compensation Range

$140,000 - $150,000 (USD) • Offers Equity
