They are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer (all genders) with excellent skills in React Native and experience in coaching and leading a team. The position is in Berlin or remote from anywhere in Germany.
The role involves tackling challenging problems, taking responsibility, and working with a powerful team. Responsibilities include developing intuitive and easy-to-use frontend applications, collaborating with product, R&D, customer success, and others to deliver a great user experience and product.
Your Challenges
- Lead an engineering team of 3 using Scrum, ensuring effective collaboration to achieve goals, while also coding.
- Take responsibility for the technical direction of Caspar Health applications from day one, driving ongoing product development.
- Lead and develop a team that creates intuitive and user-friendly frontend and mobile applications.
- Continuously improve development and design processes, enhancing quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with design and product teams, R&D, Customer Success Management, and Caspar Clinic to develop innovative solutions.
- Support team member development and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Introduce new technologies and best practices in mobile development.
Your Profile
- Extensive experience with React Native (RN) and prior experience leading or mentoring teams in this area.
- Several years of experience in mobile and web/frontend development.
- Expertise in JS frameworks like React or Angular and experience architecting applications at team level.
- Strong interest in backend technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, and/or Ruby on Rails, and ability to share knowledge effectively.
- Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks like Cypress and guiding best practices for test coverage.
- Deep understanding of state management frameworks like RxJS or Redux, helping teams use them efficiently.
- Good grasp of CSS and UI design, leading teams in creating high-quality user interfaces.
- High standards for code quality, performance, and user experience, ensuring team adherence.
- Keeping updated with latest technologies and helping teams integrate new tools and technologies.
- Ability to analyze customer requirements and quickly develop value-adding solutions.
- Ideally experienced with design systems like Material UI or similar libraries and guiding implementation.
