As a Senior Backend Engineer at 7Mind, you'll be part of a cross-functional team building technology that supports mental wellbeing at scale. You will work end-to-end on features, take ownership of backend services and help shape a system that is reliable, maintainable and a pleasure to work with. The platform follows Domain-Driven Design principles and focuses on simple, robust solutions.
Your Impact
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will contribute to building technology that supports mental wellbeing at scale and help maintain a robust, maintainable backend platform used by many users.
Your Mission
- Build and evolve backend features end-to-end: from concept and implementation to deployment and monitoring
- Write clean, testable and maintainable code with a strong focus on long-term quality
- Maintain and improve integrations with third-party services
- Ensure a stable, observable and scalable backend in a B2C environment
- Take and share ownership of your services and share responsibility for the overall system
- Discuss trade-offs openly with product, design and other stakeholders
- Contribute to a strong engineering culture through code reviews, documentation and knowledge sharing

- Elixir (with Phoenix, Broadway)

- GitHub, GitHub Actions, Linear, DataDog, Google Cloud, Cloudflare
Your Story
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend development
- Proficiency in Golang with at least 4+ years writing production code
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST, caching, cookies, WebSockets, asset loading)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments
- A strong sense for clean architecture, maintainable and testable code
- Product mindset: you balance technical excellence with user value and business impact
- Clear communication and documentation skills in English
Nice to have:
- Experience or interest in mobile or web development
- Experience with Elixir (Phoenix, Broadway)
- Kubernetes configuration or administration
- Linux system administration
- Google Cloud experience
