We are Orthopy, an innovative e-health startup focused on digital therapy support for orthopedic injuries. Our app daily accompanies people through their therapy and supports them on their path to recovery. Together, we work to improve health care for patients and make it simpler and more effective for everyone.

Orthopy Health GmbH was founded in October 2020 by Lenny Schmiedel, Torben, and Max. The idea came from a personal experience with knee injuries and the need for better therapy support. The app became a certified medical device and gained CE marking in May 2021. The first patient started therapy with Orthopy in August 2021. Orthopy received approval as a Digital Health Application (DiGA) by BfArM in September 2023. Today, Orthopy supports over 5,000 patients annually with a team of 20+ employees, and continues to expand its offerings and medical partnerships.
