About Blueskeye AI
Blueskeye AI uses machine learning to objectively measure social, emotional, and medically relevant expressed behaviour better than ever before.
The company aims to create the most-used technology for ethical machine understanding of face and voice behaviour trusted to measure the mind through the use of ubiquitously available, affordable technology, such as mobile phones and tablets.
Blueskeye's technology is clinical-grade. It has been and continues to be tested in extensive clinical trials and investigations to prove both its efficacy and safety.
A spin-out from The University of Nottingham's School of Computer Science, Blueskeye received 3.4 million in funding in a venture capital funding round led by XTX Ventures in October 2022.
Blueskeye was co-founded in 2019 by Professor Michel Valstar to commercialise the work on Human Behaviour Understanding that he and his team had been researching. Professor Valstar is an expert in machine learning, computer vision and facial expression analysis and a thought leader in affective computing and social signal processing. Over 22 years in this field his work has been cited over 19,000 times in over 150 peer-reviewed publications.
The company currently employs over 30 people, 10 of whom are PhDs. Blueskeye is a diverse, value-led team drawn from across the world, and their cultural heritage and ways of working allow them to share ideas, traditions, and learn from one another.
