YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Head of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital health. You will lead teams of skilled software engineers, driving the development of innovative software solutions based on our Kranus Platform that empower healthcare providers, improve patient experiences, and advance the quality of care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You provide visionary leadership to the software engineering team, setting clear goals and objectives while aligning with Product and other departments to deliver on company goals.
- You build, mentor, and manage a high-performing software engineering team. You foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages excellence.
- You oversee our Software Development Lifecycle and help Kranus scale out (multi-country & -product). Therefore you lead by example, contributing technically to projects as needed.
- You manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, especially Product Management.
- You drive a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of new tools and technologies, fostering innovation within the software engineering team.
YOUR TOOLKIT
- You have a Bachelor's or (preferably) Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- You have proven experience in software engineering leadership roles.
- You have a strong technical background with expertise in software engineering. Specifically:
- Must: backend development (ideally Python), TDD, distributed systems and multi-cloud infrastructure (incl. tools like Terraform, k8s, ArgoCD etc.)
- Optional: Web (React) & Mobile Development (Flutter)

- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You have the ability to make critical decisions and solve complex problems, employing a first principles approach.
