About the role
Zorro is reimagining U.S. health benefits with ICHRA. We’re looking for a highly experienced PM to be the single-threaded owner of our payments platform - taking it from vendor-driven to a best-in-class, in-house system. Big scope, real complexity, massive impact.
Key responsibilities
- Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Zorro’s payments and financial infrastructure
- Build the rails: Employer funding, FBO/segregated accounts, ledgers, virtual cards, ACH, and premium disbursements
- Ship end-to-end: Discovery → requirements → launch → scale
- Translate regulations and edge cases into sharp, actionable specs
- Maintain the bar on security and compliance (PCI, HIPAA, IRS guidelines)
- Partner across Engineering, Design, Ops, Legal, and manage BaaS/payment providers
Who you are
- Hold a degree in Engineering/Science
- Have 7+ years in product (4+ in payments/infrastructure) with shipped, complex systems
- Are deeply technical—API-savvy, comfortable in architecture reviews, and strong with data
- Know the ecosystem: issuing, processing, ACH, ledgers, KYC/AML/fraud
- Bias to action, plan well, and sweat the details without losing the plot
- Communicate crisply and lead through influence
Bonus points
- Hands-on with Stripe/Unit/Lithic (or similar)
- Experience in healthtech/insurtech/benefits
- Experience as an SW developer or other highly technical role
