Zana is a deep-tech healthcare company founded in Germany in 2018. We apply ethical AI to transform human voice into validated digital biomarkers and voice-journaling tools that support better health outcomes, remote monitoring, clinical research, and patient support. Headquartered in Karlsruhe with an office in Berlin, our team combines clinical research, regulatory expertise and applied AI.
Products, partners and focus
Our VOICE-BIOME SaaS platform ingests voice recordings (mobile app or call center), extracts quantifiable voice biomarkers, and delivers analytics and health scores via API or integrations. We focus on cardiology and respiratory applications — including vocal biomarkers for heart failure, COPD and asthma — and work with telemonitoring providers, pharmaceutical companies, medtech firms and healthcare providers.
Selected collaborators and milestones include Maastricht UMC+, University Clinic Würzburg (leading the UNISONO AHF-Voice clinical study), Fraunhofer IPA, a CE-marked AI-driven monitoring platform (2020) and the launch of trial companion apps for pharma clients.
