We’re hiring a Head of UX to own and elevate the end-to-end consumer experience of brite — from the first marketing touchpoint to long-term engagement and habit-building inside the product. You will work directly with our CPO, CTO, CEO, and product team to redesign how patients discover, trust, and stick with brite, while building a small but high-impact UX team and design culture.
As an early-stage hire, you will temporarily own content design and UX writing across web, app, and lifecycle communication, setting the bar and processes before we hire a dedicated marketing leader.
Your background
- 10–15 years of experience in product design / UX with a strong focus on consumer apps (e.g., health, wellness, education, productivity from notable companies).
- Experience as Head of UX / Head of Design / Lead Product Designer where you have worked operationally as a designer and led a team of at least two designers, partnering closely with product and engineering leadership.
- A portfolio that shows end-to-end consumer journey work: acquisition flows, onboarding, habit-forming UX, and measurable improvements in engagement and retention.
- Demonstrated ability to build or significantly evolve design systems for web and mobile products.
- Strong UX writing and content design sensibilities; you care about how words, visuals, and interaction design work together to build trust and clarity.
- Comfort working in regulated or complex domains (healthcare, fintech, insurance) and navigating trade-offs between user delight, safety, and compliance.
- Proven ability to operate at multiple altitudes: from shaping strategy with the C-suite to jumping into Figma and delivering assets, and running user tests yourself.
- High proficiency and curiosity with AI tools for design, research, and content; excited to help the team adopt and standardize them.
- Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus but not required.
- Located in or willing to regularly travel to Munich or Berlin; flexible across the EU but some in-person time is expected.
