About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results‑oriented Senior Large Group Health Plan Sales Representative for the Atlanta, Georgia market. The role is responsible for selling self‑funded health plan administration, prescription drug administration, stop‑loss, and other benefits to large, self‑funded employers (typically 50–1,000+ employees).
  • Prospect and generate leads using networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
  • Consult and advise brokers, HR, executives, and business decision‑makers on employee benefit needs and tailored solutions.
  • Develop and present customized proposals outlining plan options, costs, and benefits.
  • Negotiate contracts, close sales, and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with brokers and clients to support renewals and upsell ancillary benefits.
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements, including ACA compliance for large group plans.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and client service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have significant experience selling large group, self‑funded health plans and strong in‑market broker and employer relationships. Key qualifications include:
  • Proven experience in large group/self‑funded health plan sales.
  • Deep knowledge of large group products (self‑funded, level‑funded, fully insured) and ACA compliance.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; experience selling to senior executives.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and explain plan benefits clearly.
  • Client‑focused relationship building and CRM proficiency.
  • Active health insurance license (or ability to obtain).
  • Preferred: 9+ years in large group sales and knowledge of ancillary products (prescription drug, stop‑loss, dental, vision, disability, voluntary benefits).

Compensation

XO Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package plus a sales incentive program. Full compensation is based on experience and certifications. Base/target range listed: $125,000 - $175,000 USD.
