Program Operations Manager
Wellth is a pioneering digital health company headquartered in Los Angeles. Our mission is to motivate people living with chronic conditions to make healthier choices every day using behavioral economics, habit science, and technology. We work primarily with high-need Medicare and Medicaid populations and have demonstrated strong outcomes with large insurers and health systems.
About The Role
We’re hiring a Program Operations Manager to own performance and outcomes optimization for a portfolio of our highest-priority programs. This role sits within the Product organization and partners closely with Client Success, Product, Engineering, Design, and Health Informatics/Data Analytics.
What You’ll Own
Own program performance and outcomes optimization for ~4–5 key programs, translating goals and data insights into high-quality, correctly configured member experiences and interventions, then monitoring, iterating, and scaling what works.
- Take ownership of outcomes optimization for a set of Tier 1 programs; success measured against defined targets.
- Monitor lifecycle performance and key metrics including medication adherence (PDC), care gap closure rates, healthcare utilization trends, and engagement across priority segments.
- Provide structured reporting on program health (weekly/monthly as needed) and identify when performance is off track.
- Diagnose root causes and drive targeted improvements and intervention strategies.
- Project manage end-to-end launches to ensure experiences are timely, safe, accurate, and error-free.
Data-driven Discovery & Analysis
Proactively surface opportunities via analysis—either execute analyses yourself or direct HIDA/analytics. Create reusable analyses and reporting views to partner with Client Success and Product, understand intervention performance, and segment populations for targeted strategies.
- Co-develop performance strategy and presentation materials (SBRs, monthly refreshes).
- Flag product limitations to Product & Engineering and help prioritize capabilities that reduce manual work.
- Help templatize program setup and optimization for scale (from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of members).
Example Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scorecards for each Tier 1 program.
- Design, launch, QA, and monitor targeted interventions for underperforming segments.
- Configure new product experiences end-to-end: criteria, content, collisions, testing, translations, publishing, documentation, communications.
- Launch client-requested surveys and ensure results are summarized and shareable.
- Standardize successful approaches across programs.
What Success Looks Like (first 3–6 months)
- Trusted, current program performance scorecards and consistent, actionable reporting.
- Multiple high-quality interventions shipped with strong QA and clear measurement plans.
- Viewed by cross-functional partners as the reliable operator who makes program strategies real.
- At least one or two learnings converted into repeatable program standards.
Who You Are
Required / strongly preferred:
- 4–8+ years experience in program operations, growth/engagement ops, product ops, analytics-driven operations, consulting, or digital health operations.
- Proven ability to run metrics-driven optimization loops: set targets → launch interventions → measure → iterate.
- Strong project management skills across multiple stakeholders and parallel workstreams.
- Comfort with tools and data: dashboards, queries, cohorts, funnels, and experiment results.
- High bar for operational excellence: details, QA, documentation, and safe-to-ship judgment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare populations or chronic condition programs (diabetes, hypertension, CKD, depression, heart disease).
- Familiarity with medication adherence metrics (PDC) and care gap closure concepts.
- Experience with experimentation, survey design, behavioral interventions, or member engagement tooling.
- Basic SQL or analytics tooling proficiency (stack dependent).
How You Work
- Outcomes-obsessed and comfortable being held accountable for program performance.
- Equal parts analytical and executional—able to diagnose and deliver.
- Bring clarity with crisp scorecards, clean requirements, launch checklists, and tight feedback loops.
- Seek ways to reduce manual work through better systems, templates, and tooling.
Reporting & Collaboration
Reports into Product. Core partners include Client Success Leads, Product Management, Engineering/Design, HIDA/Analytics, Acquisition Marketing, and Member Care Advocates.
Benefits, Location & Compensation
Flexible working arrangements with a remote-first approach and the option to work in the Marina Del Rey gathering space. Health, dental, vision insurance, and FSA/HSA plans. Competitive salary and commission structure. Role location: Los Angeles office (hybrid).
Base Comp: $125,000 - $150,000
