Posted on August 31, 2025 (about 11 hours ago)

On June 5 to 8 2025, we'll bring the VOYAGERS Climate-Tech community on a special three-night, four-day learning and networking trip in Galicia, northern Spain. We're running this weekend at cost, with a mission to build close friendships among VOYAGERS working across a diverse range of industries and geographies – startup founders, investors, researchers, activists and many more. The weekend includes a workshop and discussion programme designed to keep you on top of key climate-tech trends and opportunities. We asked past participants in this adventure: 3Overall, how would you rate the adventure on a scale from 0 [worst] to 10 [best]?" Their average score was 9.4 out of 10.

JOIN A TALENTED GROUP OF CLIMATE-TECH SPECIALISTS

We are curating an international group of climate-tech founders, board members, investors, regulators, activists and more. Weare asking that participants are working in climate-tech. We ran this adventure in 2021 and 2022, with participants from the US, Israel, Taiwan, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Switzerland, the UK, Norway, Estonia and beyond.

A CAREER-ENHANCING LEARNING PROGRAMME BUILT INTO A HIKING WEEKEND

This four-day, three-night learning and networking weekend combines a bespoke guided hike along parts of the historic Camino de Santiago de Compostela trail, with afternoon pickups taking us to our magnificent accommodation in two luxuriously converted monasteries. There is also an option to extend your trip for a fourth night and hike a little further or simply hang out with fellow climate-tech professionals.
The formal schedule begins with a 4pm welcome reception on Thursday at our beautiful home, a converted Benedictine monastery near Ourense, the Parador de Santo Estevo. (The nearest main airports are Santiago de Compostela and Porto.) Amid beautiful surroundings, we1ll begin our content programme, with experts leading workshops and discussions on key themes of relevance to todays climate-tech market such as Lessons from commercialising deep tech, The future of the carbon markets, How to build a world-leading team culture (topics to be confirmed). We1l get to know each other over a lavish dinner after youve had an opportunity to relax in the hotel spa, before post-dinner games and storytelling.
After breakfast on Friday, we1ll start our hike directly from our hillside hotel. The route, which will not be demanding if you are fairly fit, will be broken up with visits to places we love. After a two-hour circular hike we1ll enjoy a fresh, locally cooked lunch together back at the hotel. Mid-afternoon we1ll set out for a second two-hour hike, before returning to the hotel for downtime with spa visits and a yoga class. We1ll organise more content sessions, so that you can learn from experts in the group. After a special dinner we1ll gather for more storytelling and games of Werewolf, a VOYAGERS tradition.
On Saturday morning we1ll be driven to a stunning walking route for a healthy days hike, and in the afternoon we1ll be met by our transport to be taken to our second special residence, Parador de Monforte de Lemos. We1ll meet for a further content session over drinks in the hotel. Saturdays dinner will include asks and offers from the group, followed by a party and the VOYAGERS talent extravaganza.
On Sunday after breakfast we1ll be driven to a prime part of the trail, and will hike in a very different landscape before heading into Santiago de Compostela, the culmination of the historic Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. We1ll have a farewell lunch in Santiago de Compostela, which has a nearby international airport.
Those who choose to stay for an extra day can join us on Sunday night in a Santiago de Compostela hotel where we will block-book rooms. We will offer these rooms at cost.
