As a Backend Engineer - Integrations, you will ensure that data flows smoothly between our products and our partners' software solutions. Without these integrations, voize would be just an island. With your work, you build the bridges that make us successful.

Responsibilities

• Build the future of our integrations: Design the technical interfaces that connect Voize with existing systems in the healthcare and care sector. Your integrations make Voize usable - without them, nothing runs.
• Establish standards: Develop a flexible and scalable API that not only meets today's requirements but also enables future partnerships. Work directly with our partners and customers to set standards that can influence entire industries.
• End-to-end responsibility: Take responsibility for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our integrations. From the first idea to rollout - everything is in your hands.
• Be the system architect: Develop data models that are elegant and robust, and find creative solutions for the challenges of integrating complex partner systems.
• Work with impact: Your work saves caregivers time, improves documentation quality, and directly impacts people who perform wonderfully every day.
• Help our partners: Support external developer teams in integrating our technology into their systems and build trust through technical expertise.
• Think long term: Aim for sustainable, maintainable, and flexible solutions that help Voize grow further without creating technical debts.

Qualifications

Must-have Skills

• Backend development: Kotlin, database systems (Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB), experience with backend services into production.
• Infrastructure: Linux (ideally also Windows Server), Kubernetes, Docker, AWS.
• API design and development: REST/GraphQL, versioning, documentation, downgrade compatibility. Authentication/Authorization (e.g., OpenID Connect).
• Development tools: Git, CI/CD.
• Fluent German and English at the C1 level.

Bonus-Skills

• Experience with healthcare API standards (e.g., HL7 FHIR).
• Knowledge in Android development.

Soft Skills

• Communication: You explain technical details clearly and write precise documentation.
• Critical Thinking: You question ideas constructively and find sustainable solutions.
