About the Role
The RVP, Sales & Business Development will lead new business development focusing on selling through dedicated partner health plans to self-insured employers. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role drives the entire sales cycle from pipeline generation to deal closure, positioning Visana as a must-have solution in women’s health. The role involves collaborating with marketing, client success, product, and clinical teams to demonstrate clinical and financial outcomes to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities / Focus Areas
Strategic Sales Execution
- Own full sales cycle from lead generation to contracting and implementation handoff
- Develop and manage pipeline of large self-insured employers via health plan account executives and benefit consultants
- Deliver presentations and demos to HR, benefits leaders, C-suite executives, consultants, and health plan stakeholders
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership on pitch materials, pricing, and positioning
Channel Development & Relationships
- Build relationships with health plan account executives, benefits consultants, and industry influencers
- Navigate complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles with consultative, outcomes-based approach
- Represent Visana at conferences and industry events to build brand visibility and connections
Sales Strategy & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and deal tracking in Salesforce
- Collaborate with leadership on quarterly and annual sales strategies and targets
- Provide market feedback for product, marketing, and commercial strategy
- Utilize Visana Commercial methodology for selling and business development
What You Bring
- 8–10 years of experience in healthcare, digital health, or employee benefits sales
- Proven success selling to self-funded employers, health plans, or through benefits consultants
- Strong healthcare ecosystem knowledge: payers, brokers, TPAs, and employer benefits strategies
- Ability to translate clinical outcomes and ROI data into compelling value propositions for economic buyers
- Experience managing long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; comfortable with C-suite conversations
- Self-starter with high EQ, strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and passion for women's health
- Familiarity with Salesforce and sales enablement tools
