At Vara we believe improved early detection of breast cancer should be standard for every woman worldwide. Our AI-powered software platform, developed in close collaboration with radiologists in Germany, leads to higher detection rates, fewer false positives and reduces workload in routine exams — supported by the largest prospective healthcare study to date with around 500,000 participating women.

Vara was founded in 2018 as the first company out of Merantix, Europe’s leading AI venture studio, and has grown into an international team of 25 committed professionals. Your role
Sales & Key Account Management
- Active acquisition of new customers
- Conducting sales meetings, product demos (remote & on-site) and contract negotiations
- Responsibility for closing deals, revenue development and structured pipeline management
- Building, developing and maintaining new and existing customers and partners in the German market
- Represent Vara to decision-makers in the healthcare sector
Project Management & Go-to-Market
- Managing the entire customer process from first contact through contract signing to go-live
- Training new customers
- Ensuring smooth onboarding and sustainable use of the solution
- Introducing new users to the Vara platform including training and regular customer visits
- Close collaboration with product, machine learning and data protection teams to structure and communicate customer requirements
Strategic Market Development
- Work with the Head of Sales to further develop market strategy, especially for the German market
- Analyze competitors, the market environment and potential partnerships
- Contribute to the development of pricing models, product features and market access strategies
Your profile
- Relevant experience in sales, business development or key account management, ideally in healthcare, MedTech or B2B SaaS
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including engagement with decision-makers
- Entrepreneurial drive, high reliability and willingness to take responsibility
- Ability to understand, structure and clearly communicate customer requirements internally
- Independent working style with a clear results focus
- Strong academic background (e.g., business, engineering, medicine) or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent German skills (C2) and business fluent English (at least B2)
- Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits
