Your role
We are looking for a Finance Manager with solid financial knowledge and a passion for healthcare and deep tech. The ideal candidate has 2 to 3 years of professional experience and is motivated to develop further within our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting and management:
- Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (according to HGB and IFRS) in cooperation with other departments and external tax consultants.
- Conduct thorough financial analyses to support business decisions and identify financial and operational trends.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the founding team and investors.
- Further develop financial systems, processes, and internal control mechanisms to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Budgeting and forecasting:
- Support the creation and continuous maintenance of financial plans (profit and loss and cash flow).
- Collaborate with the founding team and departments to align budgets with corporate strategy.
- Analyze deviations between actual and planned figures, develop action options, and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Operational financial management:
- Manage daily financial accounting processes, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements in taxes, finance, and payroll in close cooperation with local tax advisors.
- Grant management:
- Continuous management of existing grant projects, timely communication with external bodies, and regular updates to the founding team.
- Monitor and coordinate new grant applications in coordination with external consultants and internal financial planning.
Your profile
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a comparable field (master's degree preferred).
- Additional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA) are a plus but not mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of accounting according to HGB and IFRS.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in controlling, auditing, accounting, FP&A, financial management, consulting, or venture capital—ideally in the healthcare or deep tech sector. Fundraising experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with financial software (e.g., Datev, Agicap) and MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Proven experience collaborating with external and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High motivation and strong result orientation.
- Fluent German and English skills.
