Your role

As a Business Development Manager at Vara you are responsible for building new customer relationships and successfully closing contracts in the German healthcare market.
You will support potential customers from first contact through contract signing and work closely with internal teams to ensure a successful solution rollout. Your focus is on acquiring new customers, conducting sales talks, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
This role gives you the opportunity to significantly shape sales at a growing HealthTech company and to develop into Senior Sales, Key Account Management or a leadership role in sales.

Key responsibilities

Sales & Business Development (main focus)
  • Actively identify, contact, and acquire new customers in the healthcare sector
  • Conduct sales conversations, product demos (remote & on-site), and contract negotiations
  • Responsible for closing contracts, revenue development, and meeting targets
  • Maintain and manage the sales pipeline in CRM
Customer development & account building
  • Build long-term customer relationships with decision makers in healthcare
  • Support new customers from contract signing to go-live
  • Support training and onboarding of the Vara platform in collaboration with internal teams
  • Regular customer visits to ensure sustainable use
Go-to-market & market feedback
  • Work closely with product, machine learning and data protection teams to incorporate customer requirements
  • Provide market and customer feedback to improve product, pricing and sales strategy
  • Contribute to the development of the go-to-market strategy for the German market

Your profile

  • Relevant experience in Sales, Business Development or Key Account Management, ideally in B2B SaaS, healthcare or MedTech
  • Proven experience in acquiring new customers and closing complex products
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially with decision makers
  • High self-drive, reliability and strong results orientation
  • Ability to understand customer needs and communicate them internally in a structured way
  • Independent working style and enjoyment of responsibility
  • Very good German skills (C2) and business-fluent English (at least B2)
  • Willingness to travel for regular customer visits
