Opportunity
The Senior Visual Designer role involves leading visual and motion design strategy for Twin Health's mobile healthcare app. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key in shaping visual design to enhance user engagement and data visualization, creating emotional connections with users. The role includes defining visual direction, elevating UX via design, expanding the design system, creating high-fidelity visual assets, incorporating motion design, collaborating closely with teams, user research, and advocating a user-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Define and refine a new modern visual identity aligned to brand values and user trust.
- Design intuitive, beautiful user interfaces that simplify complex health data and motivate progress.
- Expand and maintain the Twin design system including components, iconography, ensuring accessibility standards.
- Create detailed visual designs, mockups, style guides, and prototypes using typography, color, and layout.
- Incorporate motion design and micro-interactions to improve usability and user feedback.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers for consistent user experiences on mobile and web.
- Develop concepts with cross-functional partners and validate with users.
- Clearly communicate design rationale and conduct user research for insights to improve UX.
- Promote a user-first mindset balancing user needs with business and technical goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design, art, UX, or related field.
- Exceptional visual/graphic design skills, strong communication, and portfolio demonstrating user-centric design.
- 7+ years visual and UX design experience, including 5+ years in mobile app design.
- Expertise in visual design, illustration, typography, design systems, and mobile interaction design.
- Preferred experience in motion and data visualization design.
- Experience leading visual redesigns for mobile apps and consumer-facing mobile experience; healthcare experience a plus.
- Portfolio showing design consistency and detail focus.
- Experience with AI/ML and LLM augmented design a plus.
- Clear communication with developers about mobile design capabilities and constraints.
- Passion for innovative UI and high-quality interactive experiences.
- Must be US-based and authorized to work in the US.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $140,000-$160,000 annually. Twin Health offers competitive compensation aligned with tech companies, remote work flexibility, equity participation, unlimited vacation, paid parental leave, comprehensive healthcare coverage, and 401k retirement plan.
