Opportunity
Seeking a highly creative and skilled Senior Visual Designer to lead visual and motion design strategy for a mobile healthcare app. Role involves collaborating across the product organization, refining interaction and visual design, crafting design details and ensuring consistency through reusable components. Close work with marketing to maintain cohesive branding is expected.
Responsibilities
- Define and refine new visual direction aligned to brand values, instilling trust among members.
- Design best-in-class, intuitive user interfaces to make complex health data understandable and motivating.
- Grow and mature the design system, components, iconography, and ensure accessibility compliance.
- Create detailed visual designs, high-fidelity mockups, visual assets, style guides, and prototypes.
- Apply motion design and delightful micro-interactions to enhance usability and UI feedback.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers for consistent user-validated experiences across platforms.
- Develop and iterate new ideas and features with internal user validation.
- Communicate design rationale clearly and conduct user research to inform design decisions.
- Maintain a user-first mindset balancing business and technical goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design, art, user experience, or related field.
- Exceptional visual and graphic design skills, with portfolio demonstrating user-centric visual design for enterprise and consumer products.
- 7+ years experience in visual and UX design, with 5+ years designing mobile apps.
- Deep expertise in visual design, typography, design systems, and mobile interaction design.
- Experience with motion and data visualization design preferred.
- Experience leading visual redesigns for mobile apps.
- Experience with consumer-facing mobile experiences; healthcare experience a plus.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design consistency and attention to detail.
- Experience designing AI/ML augmented experiences is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with developers about mobile design and animation constraints.
- Passion for innovative UI and ability to launch high-quality interactive experiences.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; remote for U.S.-based persons.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary range from $140,000 to $160,000.
