Opportunity
As a Principal Product Designer (UX/UI), you will work closely with cross-functional teams to lead design and experience strategy for engaging, outcome-driven mobile app user experiences for members. You will innovate and reimagine approaches to interconnected user journeys that encourage positive behavior patterns and leverage dynamic AI-powered content, sensor data, and tools to deliver personalized programs that significantly improve user health. This role can be remote in the USA, with Twin HQ in Mountain View, California.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience designing mobile healthcare experiences across multiple product areas, balancing clinical data with positive behavior change related to nutrition, fitness, and wellness activities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, content writers, marketing, product managers, and engineers to create effective, user-validated mobile and web experiences.
- Lead partners to develop concepts, generate feature ideas, and work with internal users.
- Create user journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and specs documenting use cases and user stories; own delivery of high-quality experiences.
- Design refined, intuitive user experience strategies leveraging modern design techniques and AI/ML developments to streamline workflows and consider cross-product member journeys.
- Define and advocate design rationale and concepts through user research to identify needs and improve experiences aligned with business growth.
- Help define and mature a design system and advocate its use across products.
- Promote a user-first mindset, balancing user needs with business and technical goals.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of UX/product design experience, with 3-5 years of healthcare or related product UI design.
- Bachelor's degree in design, user experience, HCI, or related field.
- Experience with consumer-facing mobile experiences; collaboration with clinical teams preferred.
- Experience designing AI/ML and LLM augmented experiences preferred; LLM prompting experience a plus.
- Strong advocate for high-quality user experiences; comfortable with agile iterative development.
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with a portfolio demonstrating UX and visual design.
- Experience leading cross-functional workshops to align teams and leadership around product vision.
- Experience with full mobile app redesigns or large-scale mobile product launches.
- Expertise in design systems, information architecture, design patterns, and interaction design; experience in end-to-end experience ownership including copy refinement, visual and interaction design, and user testing.
- Clear communication with developers and understanding of native mobile design constraints and capabilities.
- Strong visual design passion and interactive design skills; experienced in leading other designers toward a common design language and strategy.
- Must be US-based and authorized to work in the US.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $190,000.
