Opportunity and Responsibilities
We seek a dynamic Manager of Technical Accounting and Reporting to join our finance team. This role leads technical accounting initiatives, ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, and prepares public company-ready financial reporting. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this hands-on leader will have deep expertise in technical accounting, SEC reporting, and strategic mindset suited for a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting standards specific to healthcare and technology, including Revenue Recognition, Stock Based Compensation, Software, Equity, and Leases.
- Provide accounting guidance on complex arrangements with healthcare providers, payers, and partners.
- Develop technical memos and white papers for significant transactions such as licensing, financing, and equity compensation.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations on regulatory accounting implications.
- Develop and maintain company accounting policies.
- Partner with sales and operations to evaluate contracts and revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Analyze healthcare revenue streams like subscriptions, bundled payments, and value-based care.
- Maintain documentation and processes for revenue recognition models.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring U.S. GAAP and SEC compliance.
- Manage XBRL tagging for SEC filings and assist with close processes.
- Ensure timely reporting of financial data for healthcare partnerships.
- Manage reporting obligations for investors, board, and healthcare partners.
- Coordinate external audits and prepare Audit Committee materials.
- Develop internal controls over financial reporting, focusing on healthcare and technology operations.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to growth in regulated healthcare markets and international expansion.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on integrating operational metrics into financial reporting.
- Support FP&A with healthcare cost structures and financial models.
- Evaluate financial impact of technology and service enhancements.
- Assist in financial evaluation of strategic initiatives such as new payer networks, healthcare markets, and product lines.
- Support investor presentations, fundraising, and healthcare partner discussions.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 6+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) or combined public and corporate roles.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting standards.
- Project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Healthcare or technology industry experience a plus.
- Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Office.
- Must be US-based authorized to work without visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is $145,000 to $160,000 annually.
