Manager of Technical Accounting and Reporting

Opportunity

Seeking a dynamic Manager of Technical Accounting and Reporting to lead technical accounting initiatives, ensure U.S. GAAP compliance, and prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Reports to Director of Accounting in a fast-growth environment.

Responsibilities

Technical Accounting:
  • Lead accounting standards related to healthcare and technology including Revenue Recognition, Stock Based Compensation, Internally Developed Software, Equity, and Leases.
  • Provide accounting guidance for complex arrangements with healthcare providers and partners.
  • Develop accounting memos for significant transactions.
  • Collaborate on regulatory accounting implications such as HIPAA compliance.
  • Develop and maintain company accounting policies.
Revenue Recognition & Contract Analysis:
  • Partner with sales and operations for customer contract evaluation and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Analyze healthcare revenue streams including subscriptions, bundled payments, and value-based care.
  • Maintain documentation and processes for Twin’s digital health services and hardware revenue.
  • Build revenue recognition models for monthly compliance.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements compliant with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Manage XBRL tagging for SEC filings.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Report metrics and data for healthcare partnerships and payers.
  • Manage stakeholder reporting including investors and board members.
  • Coordinate audits and prepare Audit Committee materials.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
  • Develop internal controls over financial reporting related to healthcare and technology operations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in healthcare markets and international expansion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Integrate operational metrics into financial reporting with data teams.
  • Support FP&A in healthcare financial modeling.
  • Collaborate with product and operations on financial impacts of technology and service enhancements.
Strategic Initiatives:
  • Evaluate financial impact of strategic initiatives including market expansion and new product launches.
  • Support investor presentations and fundraising efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA strongly preferred.
  • 6+ years in public accounting or technical corporate accounting roles, Big 4 experience highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting standards.
  • Strong project management and ability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Healthcare or technology industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be U.S.-based authorized to work without visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $145,000 to $160,000 annually.
