Opportunity

The Enrollment Certified Medical Assistant supports member onboarding through scheduled phone calls and coordination tasks. Responsibilities include preparing charts, scheduling appointments, medication reconciliation, confirming primary care and specialist details, and verifying pharmacy information. Strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in multiple systems are essential. The role requires comfort with competing priorities and adapting to change.
Work schedule: Monday-Thursday 11am-7:30pm and Friday 9am-5:30pm in your time zone.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to capture and confirm health profile information for virtual onboarding and visits.
  • Collect and maintain accurate member health information and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Conduct new member phone calls following scripts and document visits, engaging members effectively.
  • Support scheduling coordination to ensure accuracy of member visits.
  • Outreach to potential members and collect assessment data for program eligibility.
  • Explain program benefits clearly and compassionately to members.
  • Assist with medication requests, task management, lab reminders, prior authorizations, and non-clinical triaging.
  • Communicate with passion and empathy while documenting accurately.
  • Support pilots and provide feedback on process changes as needed.
  • Track and report on specific processes to identify operational challenges.
  • Conduct member outreach for medication entry and information completion.
  • Utilize EMR platforms, portal messages, calls, faxes, and letters.
  • Initiate medication refill requests when applicable.
  • Assist Registered Nurses with onboarding coordination.
  • Participate in team huddles, care management planning, and operational meetings.
  • Engage in continuous process improvements and initiatives.
  • Support clinical operations through team task assignments and daily workqueues.
  • Perform administrative tasks supporting the care team.
  • Follow-up with members and providers regarding experience and issue resolution.
  • Review patient data as part of intake and enrollment.
  • Bridge communication gaps between members and the clinical team.
  • Refer to reports and trackers to close operational gaps.
  • Work under general supervision of Team Leader or Registered Nurse Operations Manager.
  • Communicate unusual situations to management.
  • Licensed health professionals support non-clinical staff during screenings and enrollment tasks.
  • Complete additional duties such as policy updates and learning new technology.

Qualifications

  • National Certification in Medical Assisting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Empathy and ability to connect with members, teammates, and care teams.
  • 2+ years of college education.
  • 5+ years experience in healthcare working with clinicians.
  • Proficiency typically gained with 3-5 years as Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or related roles.
  • Effective communication, attentive listening, and clear information conveyance.
  • Strong organizational skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and attention to detail.
  • Enjoys independent work and teamwork with high-performing teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and initiative to offer solutions.
  • Experience with electronic health records and various platforms.
  • Experience with audio/visual or video conferencing technology.
  • Knowledge of healthcare practices, medical vocabulary, patient intake, and medication reconciliation.
  • Access to high-speed internet and phone.
  • Passion for Twin's mission to transform lives through metabolic disease management.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is $21.00 per hour.
