Medical Director

At Tucuvi, we help healthcare organizations ensure every patient receives timely high-quality care by augmenting clinical teams with AI. Our clinical-grade AI Care Management platform automates and orchestrates high-volume workflows end to end, combining autonomous AI agents including LOLA, our Voice Clinical Agent, with workflow logic, escalation, documentation, and seamless integration into existing health system infrastructure.
Tucuvi is the first Class IIb Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)–approved AI platform for Voice AI-driven patient management. We support over 50 care pathways across 60+ healthcare organizations, delivering up to 80% automation of nursing workflows, >90% patient engagement, and improved clinical outcomes. We recently raised $20M in Series A funding to scale access to care.

CONTEXT

As Tucuvi scales across health systems, public administrations, and clinical teams, clinical outcomes at scale become critical. Healthcare organizations adopt AI not only because it works, but because they trust the clinical governance and results behind it. They need to understand how outcomes are measured, how patient safety is ensured, how escalation protocols work, and how AI integrates into real clinical workflows.
The Medical Director will own Tucuvi’s clinical outcomes framework, external clinical credibility, and governance narrative to ensure outcomes, communications, and governance remain consistent, credible, and defensible across every customer deployment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Your mission is to ensure that Tucuvi’s clinical outcomes, safety principles, and governance model remain clear, consistent, and trusted as the company scales. You will work at the intersection of clinical strategy, customer success, sales, and external thought leadership, ensuring deployments consistently demonstrate credible, measurable clinical impact.
This role combines three key dimensions:
  • Outcomes ownership across all clients
  • External clinical credibility and thought leadership
  • Clinical authority in complex commercial discussions

What to expect during your first months with us

During month one you will onboard into Tucuvi’s model, product capabilities, and existing deployments, review how outcomes are currently measured, and meet key customers and teams to begin shaping the foundations of the clinical outcomes framework.
By the end of month three you will define and implement a clear outcomes framework across customers, ensuring outcomes are clinically meaningful, comparable across health systems, and credible to medical directors and public administrations. You will represent Tucuvi in clinical discussions and begin shaping external communications including publications and congress participation.
After 6–12 months you will be the clinical authority behind Tucuvi’s outcomes, governance, and safety narrative, with every deployment following a clear outcomes framework and clinical communications that are consistent, credible, and trusted by healthcare leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Define and own Tucuvi’s clinical outcomes framework, establish standardized methodologies for calculating and reporting outcomes, ensure outcomes are clinically meaningful and comparable, design outcomes plans for every customer, and use outcomes data to support renewals and expansions.
Ensure clinical credibility in external communications by reviewing and validating clinical content, supporting congress abstracts and presentations, reviewing case studies and outcomes summaries, and contributing to thought leadership and best-practice documentation.
Represent Tucuvi in clinical and healthcare leadership discussions, engage with senior clinicians and health system leaders, build relationships with key clinical stakeholders across Europe, and contribute to the broader conversation around safe AI adoption in healthcare.
Support complex sales cycles and renewals by acting as clinical authority in commercial discussions, supporting enterprise deals, renewals and expansions, leading conversations about AI reliability and safety, escalation protocols, clinical governance and liability, and translating clinical governance into buyer confidence.

WITH WHOM YOU WILL WORK

Report directly to María, the CEO, and collaborate closely with Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams. Regularly interact with health system leaders, clinicians, and institutional stakeholders across Europe.

REQUIREMENTS

Preferred: experience with digital health or healthcare AI solutions, exposure to EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Dedalus, CGM, SAP or similar), experience speaking at healthcare conferences or contributing to clinical publications, experience with public health systems or large healthcare organizations, and a strong interest in shaping safe AI implementation in healthcare.
