Job Description

We are looking for a part-time, contract Therapist (Independent Contract Provider) who is passionate about reaching individuals who need mental healthcare but lack easy access to it.
This role allows working with a diverse client base while enjoying the flexibility and rewards of private practice without administrative work hassles, as Talkspace handles insurance billing, marketing, and administrative costs. Licensed providers from all U.S. states except NC, MA, & MI are eligible. Providers in TX & FL must provide at least 10 hours of availability during evenings or weekends; no minimum hours apply in other states.
What you'll do:
- Treat clients remotely within your licensed state(s) on a secure (HIPAA compliant) Talkspace platform.
- Conduct sessions using video, audio, and live messaging services.
- Respond to asynchronous client messages weekly in a timely manner.
- Complete required clinical documentation after each session.
- Offer availability during evenings and/or weekends.
About you:
- Current independent license to practice without supervision in state(s) of licensure (associate licensed providers requiring supervision are ineligible).
- Individual professional malpractice liability insurance policy.
- Individual NPI number.
- Comfortable with learning new online tools and technology.
- Reliable internet connection and video-capable device.

Compensation:
- Sessions compensated by client's state residence with prorated rates for shorter sessions (30- and 45-minute):
- CA: $90/hr; DC, MA, MD, NY, VA, WA: $78/hr; All other states: $70/hr.
- Additional compensation for asynchronous messaging and new client engagement bonuses varying by plan type.
