Job Description
For our ambitious and growing Snke Anatomy department, we are seeking a machine learning platform engineer with a strong background in building state-of-the-art MLOps infrastructure.
In this position, you will:
- Shape the development and productization of AI-based solutions for medical use-cases
- Design, build, and maintain systems enabling complex development workflows throughout the machine learning life cycle, including data processing, experimentation, model training, and evaluation
- Set up and operate complex computing environments, including local and cloud resources, using modern DevOps/MLOps techniques
- Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers to establish new standards in development efficiency, automation, and reproducibility
- Set up processing pipelines to optimize accessibility of complex medical data
Qualifications
- Education in Computer Science, natural sciences, or a similar background
- Experience designing complex computing environments based on Linux and ideally Windows, with knowledge of networking, storage, authentication, and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Ansible or Terraform
- Proven experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and container management
- Track record in CI/CD implementation, e.g., using GitHub Actions
- Good knowledge of cloud-based computing environments, preferably AWS
- Strong agile DevOps mindset and understanding of success factors for modern software development, especially in machine learning contexts
- Broad knowledge of ML/DL development processes and data pipelines
- Proficient programming skills in Python; C++ is a plus
