Job Description
As part of our central finance department, you will take on a responsible role in the operational and accounting day-to-day business of several companies within the group. You will actively contribute to building and further developing the financial structures of our newly independent company. In doing so, you will work closely with internal interfaces and external partners to ensure transparent, reliable and compliant financial processes.
Your responsibilities include, among others:
- Independent handling of daily accounting tasks (travel expenses, banking, intercompany settlements, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed asset accounting) for one or more group companies
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and local accounting regulations
- Critical review and analytical validation of financial data
- Preparation of reports for internal and external accounting
- Point of contact for external partners such as tax consultants, auditors and authorities
- Support in preparing VAT returns, statistical reports, tax refund applications and the annual income tax return
- Responsibility for valuation, accounting and reporting of financial instruments and investments in accordance with HGB and IFRS
- Responsibility for the closing processes within the Brainlab group
- Point of contact for IFRS 16 matters within the Brainlab group
Qualifications
- Commercial training or a degree with a focus on accounting, taxes, controlling or similar
- Relevant professional experience, especially in accounting and the closing process, as well as knowledge of international accounting (IFRS) and HGB
- Confident user of Excel and SAP Analysis for Office
- Excellent knowledge of accounting under IFRS and HGB
- Experience with SAP applications is an advantage
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Analytical thinking and the ability to work on new issues with enthusiasm and to develop solutions independently
