The role
This is a chance to join a passionate team leveraging cutting-edge AI to improve mental health access globally. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in making Ash an even more engaging and effective product. You will work in a cross-functional product team containing product, design, software development, and ML/AI specialists, and your work will span the entire stack end-to-end.
Our tech stack includes Dart/Flutter for the app, Kotlin for backend services, Python for ML work, Next.js/TypeScript for internal tooling, Rust for low-level media streaming, gRPC, and GCP (Kubernetes, Cloud Run). We expect a learning mindset and willingness to work across the stack.
About you
- Experience building mobile and web applications from zero-to-one, working across frontend, databases, and infrastructure.
- Driven to build a world-class product, take ownership, and comfortable iterating quickly (build and throw away code when needed).
- Strong software engineering experience in multiple general-purpose languages and modern architectures.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and shipping quickly.
- Self-starter and keen learner; interest in AI is a plus though ML expertise is not required.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to design, build, and launch new features, owning the whole stack.
- Work across the app (Dart/Flutter), internal tooling (Next.js/TypeScript), and ML scripts (Python) as required.
- Improve app reliability, performance, and polish to elevate user experience.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve bugs rapidly to ensure stability.
- Independently prototype new features from customer feedback and product intuition.

Compensation Range: £90K - £200K
