Scarlet’s Devices function is a team of clinicians, AI experts, and engineers working together to assess and certify innovative medical device software. The Clinical Evaluation Specialist will join a team conducting swift and accurate device assessments and providing expertise across the customer journey.
Your responsibilities:
- Get authorised to assess the clinical evaluation processes of medical devices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on technical documentation assessments.
- Create content to explain complex regulatory topics to customers and prospects.
- Screen and action regulatory insights from the latest research, standards and guidance.
- Support Sales and Customer Experience with regulatory insights on prospects and customers.
- Work with Product, Engineering, Design and Applied ML teams to build and improve systems.
- Support Technical Operations as Scarlet expands approvals in different jurisdictions and technologies.
The key skills:
- Degree in clinical medicine, nursing, radiography, medical physics, biomedical engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum two years' experience in patient care, clinical imaging, radiology operations, or related healthcare practice.
- Experience using medical device software or non-implantable imaging devices utilising ionising radiation (e.g. CT, gamma cameras, fluoroscopy, PET).
- Minimum two years' experience assessing clinical data for medical devices.
- Knowledge of principles for assessing clinical data and medical statistics.
- Practical experience conducting or monitoring clinical investigations/trials or assessing clinical data.
Desirable skills:
- Research savvy with knowledge of clinical research methodologies and trial design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly adaptable and able to operate with autonomy in ambiguous situations.
- Knowledge or training in relevant standards and guidance for clinical evaluation (e.g. ISO 14155, MEDDEV 2-7/1 Rev.4).

Compensation Range: £75,000 - £90,000
