We’re hiring a clinician to join our growing team and work alongside the Clinical Lead to help reshape the current regulatory environment.
The ideal candidate has a clinical background and will be integral in designing, building, and using the processes through which we operate our business.
You need to be excited by cutting-edge health technology and keen to take on a pivotal role in evaluating these solutions for the benefit of patients and clinicians.
What the job involves:
Model the domain
Decompose medical device regulations, standards and guidance documents into interrelated concepts.
Iterate the tools
Improve the processes through which we engage with software medical device manufacturers using our state-of-the-art interactive development environment.
Enshrine best practice
Develop and operate internal processes to keep the organisation up to date with latest developments in software, AI and machine learning in healthcare.
Assess innovative health technologies
Get authorised to assess the clinical evaluation processes implemented by software medical device manufacturers.
Collaborate with experts
Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of software, AI and clinical experts to ensure software medical devices are safe and effective.
Who you are:
Essential
Clinically trained
You have a medical degree, are GMC-registered, and have at least four years of postgraduate experience.
Research literate
You're comfortable reviewing and critiquing scientific research and have an eye for detail.
Medical device experience
You have experience developing or assessing medical devices (software or otherwise).
Clinical trial insights
You have experience conducting or monitoring clinical trials or assessing clinical data from trials.
Health-tech enthusiast
You're passionate about health tech and digital health.
Excellent communicator
You have excellent, structured, verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
Regulatory insights
You have knowledge of relevant regulations (EU MDR, UK MDD), international standards (e.g. ISO-14155) and guidance documents (e.g. MEDDEV 2-7/1).
AI experience
You have experience developing, deploying or evaluating AI or ML-based healthcare tools.
Technical skills
You have experience working with developer tools: IDEs, git, CI/CD tools, etc.
