Salvo Health is seeking a hands-on, strategic Director of Growth & Patient Acquisition to lead how we identify, enroll, and engage eligible patients across our partner physician networks. This role will own patient growth and retention across multiple channels — including multichannel contact center outreach (phone, email, SMS), introducing AI tools, digital marketing and self-enrollment funnel optimization, direct mail, drip marketing, ML-driven segmentation, and promotional content — with end-to-end responsibility for the B2B2C patient acquisition funnel from first touch through intake.
In addition to overseeing a remote outbound contact center, you will develop and execute new, compliant marketing and engagement tactics to reduce acquisition costs, improve retention, and increase patient lifetime value. This is a player-coach role responsible for managing overall performance of the growth function and end-to-end execution: from strategy development to hands-on campaign management, coaching engagement specialists, and testing/updating scripts in real-time to drive conversion.
Reporting to the COO, this is a highly visible role with real ownership and impact as Salvo scales. Salvo grew patients over 700% in 2025 and aims to grow nearly 400% in 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead the B2B2C patient acquisition and retention strategy by designing a multichannel, integrated marketing program that drives new patient enrollments and achieves growth goals.
- Monitor and analyze acquisition and retention metrics to support continuous improvement.
- Create an A/B testing framework to inform tactical growth levers and validate strategic decisions.
- Design and own the execution of acquisition strategy, including hands-on campaign build out in CRM, digital marketing, and dialer tools.
- Oversee operations of the contact center and direct a team of supervisors for outbound enrollment and customer service teams.
- Guide creative development and messaging of outreach materials and webpages to further optimize conversion.
- Work with clinical and analytics teams to establish and iteratively refine audience segmentation to inform targeting and messaging decisions.
- Work with account management to decrease friction in physician referrals and ensure a strong handoff into the sign-up experience.
- Create clear processes, documentation, and operating rhythms to ensure scalable and repeatable growth engines for inbound and outbound enrollments.
- Manage vendor relationships as needed, including evaluating AI-first vendors for eligibility/benefits checks, chatbot and drip marketing, self-scheduling interfaces, agentic AI tooling, and more.
- Ensure all patient-facing marketing materials and acquisition strategies meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Stay current on new approaches to patient acquisition and continuously adopt innovative outreach and acquisition tools spanning digital, traditional, and AI-supported strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in virtual care or digital health operations, patient acquisition, growth, or multichannel marketing; B2B2C growth experience a plus.
- Experience leading or managing operations of remote front-line contact center teams preferred.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth consumer-facing company.
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
- Strong analytical skills and hypothesis-driven orientation, with experience using A/B testing and statistics to validate experiments.
- Deep understanding of privacy regulations and compliant healthcare marketing practices including HIPAA and TCPA.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented strategic thinker; personal passion for health and wellness preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $165,000 - $180,000 a year. Competitive health benefits, 401(k), flexible time-off, professional development and entrepreneurial opportunities. Salary is commensurate with location, cost of living, skillset, and experience.
