Global Program Manager

The Global Program Manager will oversee the post-sale experience for Benchling’s largest Enterprise customers, coordinating implementation, customer success, and support to ensure rapid time to value and seamless adoption.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The GPM partners closely with Enterprise Account Executives to accelerate customer digital transformations and expand Benchling’s relationship with customers. This role requires deep experience in Life Sciences R&D processes and scientific concepts, enterprise SaaS deployments, and strong stakeholder management at all levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee post-sale activities across implementation, support, customer success, and optimization services for one or more Enterprise customers
- Partner with customer leaders and Benchling account teams to develop implementation, governance, change management, risk management, escalation management, adoption, and success plans
- Liaise with customer leaders as a diplomatic, pragmatic partner operating with urgency
- Partner with the Enterprise AE to ensure seamless customer experience and grow the account
- Support development of customer experience sales and services proposals
- Coordinate Professional Services, Customer Success, and Support to drive value, adoption, and advocacy
- Partner with Product Management to align customer needs with product roadmap
- Shape long-term strategy and vision for the Enterprise services business
- Inspire cross-functional account teams and mentor/coaching team members
- Contribute to running a profitable services business without sacrificing quality or customer success
QUALIFICATIONS
Must haves:
- Experience working with Life Sciences companies and understanding of R&D processes and scientific concepts; ability to engage scientific, informatics, IT, and Director/VP level audiences in top-20 Biotech and Pharma companies
- Accountability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- 10+ years client-facing implementation, program leadership and/or consulting experience, preferably in Life Sciences or Biotechnology
- Proven ability to lead large cross-functional post-sale teams with strong relationship, project management, organizational, and commercial skills
- Experience in program and project management for multi-workstream enterprise SaaS deployments, including scope management, budget control, and executive reporting
- Experience in services commercials including SOWs, budgeting, resourcing, and change orders
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills with experience presenting to the C-suite
- Ability to work at customer sites or in the Boston office as needed
- BS or advanced degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or similar, or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
- GxP experience including software validation (CSV)
