About the role:
As the Account Executive focused on the healthcare payer segment, you will drive growth and expand Foodsmart’s presence within this strategic market. You will establish and nurture strategic partnerships and secure contracts with healthcare payers, with emphasis on government-sponsored plans (particularly Medicaid). Your objectives include identifying decision makers, understanding priorities, proposing tailored solutions leveraging Foodsmart's offerings, and closing contracts for our telenutrition services and platform.
You will:
- Develop and oversee end-to-end business growth opportunities from prospecting to contract closure within the healthcare payer segment, emphasizing government-sponsored plans.
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders in healthcare payer organizations.
- Design, execute, and launch partnerships with healthcare payers, taking full ownership of deal and project responsibilities.
- Drive revenue growth through establishing and expanding strategic partnerships in alignment with Foodsmart's targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize and ensure successful implementation of new payer partnerships.
You are:
- An experienced sales executive with a proven track record of closing large, complex deals within the healthcare payer segment.
- Excellent presenter and public speaker, both in-person and virtually.
- A proactive customer advocate committed to meeting and exceeding customer needs.
- Able to work collaboratively, adapt quickly, and deliver results with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable in high-pressure, dynamic environments and passionate about driving innovation and change.
You have:
- Experience selling Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) programs/services, telehealth services, and services paid through claims to healthcare payers, including health plans and Medicaid plans.
- Proficiency in lead generation and qualification and the ability to compellingly represent the full portfolio (telehealth, clinical operations, member marketing, dietitian services).
- Expertise in deal flow management, risk triage, and understanding variables that impact deal outcomes.
- Strong project management skills focused on deliverables, milestones, and risk mitigation.
- Subject matter expertise in the healthcare payer segment.
Compensation & Location
Base salary range: $155,000 - $185,000 per year, plus commission. The posted range reflects target new hire salaries at Foodsmart’s San Francisco headquarters; actual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Location: Remote (USA).
