Role Overview
The Business Development Representative will build a high-quality healthcare pipeline through disciplined, insight-led outbound prospecting. Focus on organizations that provide real-world data for model development: run targeted sequences, qualify opportunities, and execute daily prospecting. Collaborate with Sales and the General Manager of Healthcare to test and validate outreach hypotheses.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a focused Healthcare ICP target list and avoid random outreach.
- Run daily outbound sequences (email, LinkedIn, calls) to generate qualified meetings.
- Prospect into Protege’s core wedge: healthcare real-world data for AI model development.
- Qualify quickly (use case, data needed, timeline, stakeholders, success criteria) and disqualify quickly.
- Deliver clean handoffs with crisp notes to accelerate next steps.
- Partner with Marketing and Demand Gen to iterate messaging and build repeatable outbound plays.
- Maintain pipeline hygiene and report weekly on what’s working.
- Build fluency in healthcare data and AI constraints (privacy, de-identification expectations, provenance) to be credible with technical buyers.
What Success Looks Like
- 30 days: Learn the Healthcare motion, Protege’s positioning, core use cases and target personas. Build outbound workflow and begin booking initial qualified meetings.
- 60 days: Run repeatable outbound plays with steady weekly output. Refine ICP targeting and messaging; document 1–2 reusable outbound plays.
- 90 days: Scale high-performing plays, improve meeting quality and conversion, and deliver a 90-day retro with next experiments and enablement needs.
What You Bring
- Proven ability to generate net-new pipeline through high-volume, high-quality outbound prospecting and convert outreach into qualified meetings.
- Experience building and executing focused account plans with tight ICP targeting and disciplined follow-through.
- Skilled at qualifying complex B2B opportunities: mapping stakeholders, clarifying use cases, and identifying clear next steps and disqualifiers.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical offerings into compelling outreach.
- Operational rigor in CRM and pipeline management, including clean activity logging and weekly reporting.
