Position Overview
The Director/Vice President of Business Development leads and executes the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract signing. The role targets medium-to-large biopharma companies. Requires 5-10+ years in client-facing roles, a strong pharmaceutical industry background, and experience in fast-paced environments like startups, consulting, or banking. The candidate must excel in process management, lead generation, contract negotiation, and managing senior client relationships.
Responsibilities
- New Business Acquisition:
- Acquire 100% new business and new logos via conferences, outreach, inbound channels.
- Target senior-level decision makers.
- Represent PHIL at events for lead generation.
- Complete Sales Management:
- Manage entire sales process: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, contracting, and closing.
- Navigate and manage sales cycle proficiently.
- Collaborate with PHIL teams for client support and pricing.
- Industry Expertise:
- Experience in pharma industry with understanding of hubs, prior authorizations, pharmacy distribution.
- Process and Pipeline Management:
- Manage sales processes, lead generation, and contract negotiations.
- Keep pipeline updated for transparency.
- Create custom materials to drive opportunities.
- Support strategic initiatives to achieve revenue goals.
