About The Role

We are seeking a talented and proactive Legal Recruiter to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing passive legal candidates through creative and targeted strategies, including Boolean search techniques, networking, and leveraging legal job boards. This role requires a strong understanding of legal industry hiring trends and the ability to identify high-caliber legal professionals to meet our clients’ staffing needs. The Legal Recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers and HR teams to understand role requirements and ensure a seamless recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of legal recruiting experience, preferably within a staffing agency or corporate legal department. A strong understanding of the legal industry, including different practice areas and roles, is essential. Excellent sourcing skills, particularly with Boolean search techniques and legal-specific job boards, are required. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with passive candidates. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Source passive legal candidates using creative strategies such as Boolean search, networking, and legal job boards.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified legal candidates for current and future openings.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidate suitability and fit for specific roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide guidance on market trends and candidate availability.
  • Coordinate interview schedules and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate tracking and recruitment metrics.
  • Promote a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Stay informed about legal industry hiring trends and best practices to continuously improve sourcing strategies.
